With U.S. wine consumption up considerably according to Forbes, it’s no surprise luxury developers are paying attention. Greg Malin, CEO of San Francisco-based Troon Pacific, recently developed an ultra-luxury city estate, Residence 950  on Russian Hill. Malin took notice of San Francisco's dedicated oenophiles. On the market for $45 million, the property includes a custom-designed and statement-making wine wall and storage room. The 35 foot-long and 9 foot tall custom wine wall is directly above the home’s art gallery and lined with sliding glass and thermally protected doors. Construction and design assure collectors their wines will maintain the proper temperatures even a sommelier would approve of.

The wine wall features both up and down lighting, dark wood panels, and black steel pins to display all your vintages. Both the display wall and adjacent 65-square foot storage room holds 1,000 bottles and has a built-in dehumidification circuit. “People who really enjoy wine often want to display their collection because it’s beautiful to look at. We placed the wine wall overlooking the art gallery which is between the garage and the main part of the home,” explains Malin. “When you look at the wine wall, the art gallery actually surrounds it,” he adds.

The penthouse collection at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach priced around $40 million offer fine wine collectors a customized option of a 20-foot tall wine library with climate controlled custom shelving system for over 2,000 bottles. Alexis Cogul, founder and principal of Doo Architecture (the architect behind the customized wine library) looks at the design. “We used lots of woods and natural materials from Italy throughout the residence and carried that into the design of the wine library. We wanted it to be a welcoming private place where collectors can display their wine for entertaining. It’s like a museum display and a trophy room,” notes Cogul.

Moving to Chicago 1000M  a new luxury condominium offers amenities for wine lovers. On the building’s 72nd floor residents will have access to a private and elegantly appointed wine tasting room with individual storage. Club 1000, the resident-only full-service bar and lounge will stock the resident’s favorite wine. Jordan Karlick, principal of JK Equities, the developer of 1000M ranging in price from $500,000 to $8 million talks about what today’s luxury Chicago buyer wants. “We think our buyers are looking for a complete package and the wine tasting room and private storage is part of that. We will host wine tastings there and other social events to create a sense of home and community.”

As interest in collecting fine wine continues to grow expect to see more luxury wine amenities as developers offer what today’s high net worth buyer wants and will pay handsomely for.

The Ultimate Guide To Family Law

Introduction The government has always had a fascination with families and the contract of marriage. State legislatures have passed many laws regulating the requirements for getting married and for obtaining a divorce. In addition, today’s laws also affect couples who live together outside of marriage. It is hard to give simple answers to many of the legal questions that a person may have about marriage, parenthood, separation, or divorce because the laws change and vary from one state to another. In addition, judges in different states with identical laws may decide cases with similar facts in different ways. This article describes the laws and court rulings common to most states. If you have other questions, please contact a lawyer in your state. You may also wish to contact a specialist. Many lawyers (particularly in urban areas) work only on family law or make it a large part of their general practice. Lawyers specializing in family law also may refer to themselves as specialist...
